This position would report into the Head of Infrastructure Services and will mainly provide a high level of expertise (design & realization, project management, support & maintenance) in the area of Technical Infrastructure. The Infrastructure Project Manager plans, directs and manages the IT Infrastructure, Desktop Infrastructure, and Helpdesk Support functions. This role will lead the Enterprise IT Infrastructure and Operations Team and the Support Center. This role is responsible for Technical Architecture, Network Services (LAN, WAN, Internet, Intranet, Extranet & Wireless Mobility), Information Security and Controls, End-Point Technology and Support. As a manager you will provide both hands-on tactical management and strategic direction for IT Infrastructure Operations. He/she will promote and implement IT best practices and ITSM methodologies throughout the IT organization (HQ and subsidiaries). He/she will ensure the development and implementation of cost-effective systems and efficient computer operations to meet current and future business requirements.


Main responsibilities:

  • Define & plan infrastructure/IT strategy and prioritize targets for the project and its interfaces
  • Accountable for infrastructure/IT services from establishment to OGS (on going support), focal point to stakeholders and customers, including managing escalations and problem resolution
  • Manage E2E production architecture design, setup, implementation and operation
  • Cultivate service orientation and adhere to agreed SLAs, responsible for meeting SLA and internal KPIs
  • Identify, assess and mitigate risks on a regular basis
  • Provide management, and direction to the infrastructure team, which manages and supports the core hardware infrastructure, Microsoft platforms, applications and data center (external and cloud)
  • Manage and support cloud environment and web infrastructure
  • Supervise database, server, network, and telecommunications administration and optimization
  • Responsible for budgeting and purchasing of infrastructure hardware and solutions, as well as associated support and maintenance plans
  • Oversee the backup strategies, fault-tolerance, intrusion detection and security efforts production systems
  • Oversee the analysis, design, installation and configuration of wired and wireless networks, including those serving telecommunications and data storage, to ensure that network resources are adequate to meet current and future needs
  • Oversee the maintenance of an up-to-date inventory of all network and server related equipment, including age, replacement cycle and replacement cost. Evaluate and/or recommend purchases of computers, network hardware, peripheral equipment, and software
  • Maintain network and systems by managing product and capabilities roadmaps, establishing maintenance procedures, and working with junior staff to perform regular maintenance to minimize downtime
  • A primary resource to configure, install, support, and maintain standard server hardware, software, and peripherals in both a virtual and non-virtual environment
  • Configure, install, support, and maintain all standard LAN, WAN, and external network hardware, software, and related protocols
  • Review and approve hardware and software configuration standards
  • Assist junior staff as needed on troubleshooting the most difficult and pervasive technical problems associated with PCs, peripherals, servers, LAN-WAN external network connectivity, and client software
  • Identify utilization patterns and their effect on operation/system availability and performance expectations. Lead efforts for the designs of technical solutions and assists in long range planning
  • Perform Infrastructure Monitoring (setting up and monitoring alerts, events, notifications and reports on network and environments), and working with junior staff to guide proactive monitoring
  • Respond to tier 2 service desk tickets, production outages to SLA and document resolutions for future reference
  • Ensure timely user notification of maintenance requirements and effects on system availability
  • Develop and enforce company policies as they relate to network and systems access, security and management
  • Work with various team members, departments, vendors, and service providers to ensure a productive work environment

Job requirements

  • Computer Engineering Degree or equivalent a must, advanced degree an advantage
  • Minimum 8 years of successful implementation experience in a similar role in the retail industry
  • Exposure to international and complex projects ideally in the luxury/watches industry
  • Minimum 5 years of managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, VPN’s, etc.
  • Minimum 2 years’ successful leadership of an infrastructure team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sounds decisions in emergency situations
  • Strong user skills with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in the following: Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange environment, SMTP Mail Routing and SPAM controls, Microsoft Windows server
  • Knowledge of Cisco, Routers, Switches and Firewalls
  • Knowledge of MS SQL
  • Experience troubleshooting hardware and software problems with vendor support staff
  • Knowledge of routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP

  • Ability to work after hours (system upgrades, troubleshooting, etc.)
  • Ability to provide non-business hour support (remote and onsite) and a rotating "on call" schedule within the Infrastructure team
  • Good interpersonal and communications skills, ability to challenge business users in a positive manner on their requirements and propose alternative solutions
  • Strong customer service attitude
  • Team-player, capable to work in a relatively small team, with great exposure to the senior management
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Highly self-motivated and directed
