Position Summary: The Retail Associate will be responsible for delivering superior support to the company’s Direct-to-Consumer channels (E-commerce & Boutique/Showroom). Reporting to the Operations Manager, with a dotted line reporting to the E-commerce Manager, North America. The Retail Associate will be direct local contact for all E-commerce activities for Breitling Canada, as well as supporting the Retail channel when necessary and performing daily administrative tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

E-commerce (Primary)

Channel Management

  • Learn the Breitling brand and obtain a strong working knowledge of all products and services.
  • Manage inbound orders from our e-commerce platform
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of sellable inventory daily
  • Keep a finger on the pulse for topline sales trends
  • Coordinate with US team for new product launches
  • Work on projects and special assignments as required, working independently and/or in close collaboration with other internal departments as applicable.

Order Management & Fulfillment

  • Prepare, pack and ship e-Commerce orders including gift wrapping in an efficient manner and with great attention to detail.
  • Process customer returns within company specified SLA’s (Service Level Agreement)
  • Identify glitches in fulfillment process, elevate to e-Commerce Manager where necessary and troubleshoot to resolution.
  • Monitor inventory of e-comm packaging materials and arrange for replenishment when necessary

Admin Tasks (Secondary)

  • Answer incoming phone calls through the main line, transfer to the appropriate person, and assist callers as needed
  • Serve visitors at the front desk by greeting, welcoming, directing, and announcing them appropriately. Office tours given for certain guests
  • Open and close the Reception area each day, turning on/off the phone system and television and securing the front entrance including removing all watches
  • Keep the Reception area in pristine condition at all times
  • Planning and organizing the monthly team lunch and birthday cake  
  • Office maintenance – ensuring the office is in pristine condition and setting up service calls when needed etc.
  • Monitor office supplies, ordering when needed, or requests are made.
  • When needed, assist Service group with estimate review and follow-up by calling customers. Set-up service calls when needed.

Retail (As Needed)

Assisting Showroom/Boutique and assisting Sales Associate as needed. Tasks may include:

  • Responsible for all strap, buckle and watch sales for the boutique
  • Coordinates with in-house watchmakers for the sizing and installation of sold watches, bracelets/straps
  • Setup and maintain a pristine display of at least 50 watches – watches must be priced out and tagged; the display is changed once a month
  • Manually counting the boutique inventory each week vs. what is shown in the system to avoid any discrepancies
  • Clienteling – calls, emails and follow-up for any leads or purchases in the Boutique

Education and/or Experience:

  • High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ professional experience, preferably in e-Commerce, fulfillment and/or logistics in the Consumer Package Goods (CPG) and/or fine jewelry industry.

Language Ability:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships.
  • Customer-focused attitude with high level of professionalism and ability to communicate across diverse groups of employee and departments.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Excellent organization skills with thoroughness and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Must be able to multitask, prioritize, manage time and work under pressure.

Software Skills:

  • Excellent computer skills, including fluency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Knowledge of a POS System, e-Commerce sales, Salesforce or other e-Commerce platform preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn new software applications.
  • SAP a plus, not required
