Senior Manager - Facilities and Health & Safety (Grenchen & Zurich)

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager - Facilities and Health & Safety, who will be responsible for developing and implementing Global facilities, health, safety, environmental and physical security standards and programs across the Breitling Group and manage the facilities and HSE functions at the Swiss Head Office. The job holder will work in Grenchen (canton Solothurn) and oversee several offices in Switzerland.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage Global facilities and real estate strategy/policies and KPIs for own properties (Switzerland, France, USA) and for leases globally
  • Global HSE strategy/policies and KPIs, in particular safety concepts
  • Physical security concepts (access controls, safes, surveillance)
  • Management systems (PDCA) for HSE compliance areas
  • Environmental policy (energy, waste, chemical management)
  • Energy procurement (electricity, gas)
  • HQ office planning (capacity planning, relocation projects, reconfigurations, flexible work solutions, lease negotiations)
  • HQ facilities operations and projects (maintenance and renovations, community projects, waste and supplies management, visitor management)
  • Global employee mobility roadmap (fleet management, charging infrastructure, online travel agency/expenses)
  • HQ OPEX and CAPEX budgets and monitoring of local budgets, ongoing cost optimizations,
  • Mandatory reporting, liaison with Federal H&S Authorities, Cantonal H&S Authorities and the State Insurer (SUVA).
  • Collaborate with other departments on following subjects:

  • Environmental programs with the Sustainability team,
  • Health management in collaboration with HR,
  • Regulatory compliance with Legal & Compliance and Operations teams,
  • Construction work with internal architects from Retail Real Estate Development Manages HQ Facilities and HSE team (HSE, facilities, reception, office management, cleaning).

Job requirements

Required Skills & Experience:

  • At least 7 years of experience in the real estate and facilities management field, out of which 2-3 years as a team leader or supervisor experience in policies writing and project management
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health and Safety) and Swiss EHS codes and standards are nice to have
  • International exposure is required
  • Demonstrated customer service qualities and cost management mindset
  • Successful negotiation experiences
  • Ability to be effective with both transactional tasks and leading the projects
  • English, German and French at a native speaker level


  • Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering/science or business.
