Sustainability Specialist (100%)

Job description

You will work closely with stakeholders across the business and with our key business partners and other stakeholders in Switzerland and worldwide to drive ongoing cooperation to address our social and environmental impacts along the value chain while building a range of sustainability initiatives internally related to sustainable product design, reducing our environmental impact in headquarter operations and engaging our people in our sustainability purpose. At the same time, you will play an important role in supporting our sustainability and ESG reporting as well as our corporate governance. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the design and implementation of projects that assess and optimise social and environmental impacts occurring along our value chain in the sourcing of key materials and distribution of our goods to market
  • Developing frameworks to measure our environmental impact and projects to reduce waste volume including plastic, energy and water consumption
  • Developing and implementing frameworks to engage our stakeholders (customers, employees, society) in our sustainability journey
  • Contributing to sustainability communications
  • Assisting in corporate governance topics

Job requirements

  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject (e.g., sustainability management, environmental studies, engineering, economics)
  • 1-3 years of professional experience (including internships), ideally gained in the private sector including in consultancy, project management, operations, procurement, operations, finance, legal, communications, and other areas
  • High degree of engagement and curiosity related to sustainability, including as evidenced by relevant extracurricular activities
  • Fluent French and English; further languages an advantage
