Senior Museum Guide - Temporary contract (f/m/x)

Breitling stands apart from other watch brands with its focus on casual, sustainable and inclusive luxury. We are looking for a Senior Museum Guide to join our #Squad for a 10-month period.

You will be the ambassador for our brand, providing exceptional service and expert knowledge to our visitors. Your role will encompass leading engaging tours of our museum's exhibits, with a special focus on watchmaking techniques, the history, and heritage of Breitling timepieces. We're seeking individuals with a passion for horology, a flair for storytelling, and a commitment to delivering memorable experiences that deepen our customers' appreciation for fine timepieces. Your role extends to overseeing the gift shop operations, curating merchandise, and managing a cohesive team to deliver memorable experiences.

Your responsibilities:

Guide

• Lead captivating tours of our museum, immersing visitors in the intricate details of exhibits, watchmaking techniques, and the illustrious history of the Breitling brand.
• Foster interactive experiences that captivate and engage visitors, deepening their understanding and appreciation of Breitling timepieces.
• Address visitors' inquiries promptly and thoroughly, offering detailed information and assistance as needed to enhance their museum experience.
• Prioritize the safety and security of our visitors and exhibits, maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
• Keep abreast of current trends, advancements, and news related to horology and the Breitling brand, ensuring your knowledge is relevant and informative for visitors.
• Provide outstanding customer service to elevate the visitor experience, leaving a lasting impression, promoting positive word-of-mouth, and encourage visitors to explore our boutiques.
• Occasionally participate in logistical support for special events on-site and other events, enhancing the overall visitor experience.
• Oversee operations in our gift shop, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable shopping experience for visitors with a curated selection of merchandise.

Hospitality

• Greet and guide visitors as they enter the museum.
• Provide visitors with information about museum exhibits, guided tours, and merchandise offerings, assisting with any inquiries or special requests.
• Assist visitors in selecting and purchasing merchandise from the museum gift shop, ensuring a pleasant and seamless shopping experience.
• Support guided tours by assisting tour guides with visitor management, distributing tour materials, and providing additional information about exhibits as needed.
• Assist with inventory management tasks, including restocking merchandise shelves and conducting periodic inventory counts.
• Oversee ticketing operations, including verifying online reservations and assisting visitors with new bookings on-site, ensuring a seamless entry process for all guests.

Manager

• Lead the team of the Breitling Museum in both organizational, administrative and professional aspects, ensuring cohesion, efficiency, and excellence in delivering museum experiences. Additionally, oversee operations of the Gift Shop

Your profile:

• You have significant experience in similar roles and in similar environment, preferably
• You have strong knowledge with watchmaking terminology and concepts (movements, complications, materials, ...). Ideally, you are also familiar with historical developments in watchmaking and the Breitling brand
• Experience in managing small teams and with leadership would be a plus
• You have the ability to quickly learn and memorize information about the museum's exhibits, collections and the brand
• You are an excellent communicator, have strong organizational skills and storytelling has no secret for you
• You speak fluently French, English and German. Any additional language would be an asset
• You have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and public holidays
